AT least 15 carabaos were delivered to previously-abandoned Sitio Kalhaan in Minalwang, Claveria, Misamis Oriental, on Friday, November 19, 2021, as the Provincial Government tries to introduce progress in this once rebel-infested community.

This is the seventh time Governor Bambi Emano is sending relief goods and aid to returning families, which lives were made miserable by insurgencies and counter-insurgencies of government military forces in the past years.

Governor Emano is grateful to the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) for the carabaos to help the once-displaced families in their livelihood.

At the same day, the Provincial Government, represented by Provincial Agriculturist Jose Apollo Pacamalan and Agriculture Technologist Julie Buzarang, were joined by personnel from PCC, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-10), Provincial Library Office-Misamis Oriental, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO-MisOr), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Technical Skills Development Authority (TESDA0, PhilFIDA, and ULTICON Builders Inc.

The team brought P10,000 cash aid and food packs to each of the 66 households from DSWD-10; 15 bags of Tilapia feeds from BFAR; housing materials and training allowance from TESDA; stripping knives from PhilFIDA; construction tools from ULTICON Builders Inc.; and five sacks of rice from PSWDO. The Provincial Library distributed books to children.

These efforts, according to Governor Emano, are made to lend a hand to help the actual residents rise again from disgrace. Also, Governor Emano added, this is in support to the continuing program of the national government, End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) in Misamis Oriental.

Governor Emano vowed as long as he is Governor, this program will be religiously implemented.
