GOV. BAMBI EMANO SALUTES HOW POLICE OFFICERS MAINTAIN PEACE AND ORDER IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL By: JANE SALIMBAO/PIOPosted: October 26, 2021
WHILE Governor Bambi Emano joins the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the occasion of the 120th Police Service anniversary celebrated on October 21, 2021, at Camp Alagar in Cagayan de Oro, he saluted how our police force in Misamis Oriental maintain the peace and order that drives lawless individuals away, paving the way for the province to prosper more vigorously.
Governor Emano said he appreciates the dedication of the Provincial Police Office-Misamis Oriental, under the leadership of Police Colonel Raniel Valones, who is closely coordinating with the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Development Council (PDC) and the Office of the Governor in tightening security in the entire province, especially in implementing health protocols to achieve normalcy again leading to the economic recovery.
He commended the PPO-MisOr for being adjudged as the Best Police Provincial Office for 2021; Gingoog City PNP, as the Best Component City Police Station for 2021; and Opol Police Station, as Best Municipal Police Station for 2021, all for Region 10. The Governor witnessed the awarding rites the same occasion in Camp Alagar.
With this year’s PNP Police Service anniversary theme: “Hangad na Kalinisan sa Kapulisan, Kapaligiran at Komunidad Ibayong Gampanan para sa Pangkapulisang Integridad”, PNP Chief Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar was pleased to find out that police stations are generally net and clean during his random visit and inspection countrywide. Gen. Eleazar graced the occasion as the Resource Speaker.
While in Misamis Oriental, Gen. Eleazar extends gratitude to Governor Emano for being the number one Local Chief Executive who is very supportive to the PNP’s efforts in implementing security measures on streets and checkpoints.
Governor Bambi has been providing food and cash assistance to police stations in Misamis Oriental even before COVID-19 pandemic until today.
Also, on the same event, Governor Emano witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Deed of Donation (DOD) between the PNP-Regional Office and Local Government Units of Gingoog City and Municipality of Opol for the construction of additional police stations in the said areas in an effort to enhance security forces for a crime-free province.
