GOVERNOR Bambi Emano turned over P49.5 million worth of 16 ambulances and seven utility vehicles to Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospitals (MOPH) and another one utility vehicle for the Provincial Veterinary Office on Monday, October 25, 2021.

The ambulances and utility vehicles L-300 vans, according to Governor Emano, are in addition to the emergency vehicles he provided late last year to augment the medical services of the eight state-run hospitals—MOPH-Magsaysay, MOPH-Gingoog City, MOPH-Talisayan, MOPH-Balingasag, MOPH-Claveria, MOPH-Alubijid, MOPH-Manticao, and MOPH-Initao, and as enhancement to COVID-19 and African Swine Fever (ASF) response effort.

Representatives from Mitsubishi, Nissan and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) attended the multi-casted event, highlighted by the blessing of the vehicles with Fr. Juliano Retiquez officiating, joined by Governor Emano, members of the Provincial Board headed by Vice Governor Jigjag Pelaez, MOPH chiefs of hospitals, Provincial and Municipal Agriculture and Fisheries Council chairmen and members of the Misamis Oriental Department Heads Association (MODHA).

Governor Emano said hospital chiefs are expected to take good care of the vehicles which were previously deprived to them for years.

“When we started in the Capitol almost nine years ago, we were able to plant very, very good seeds—the seed of discipline; the seed of love; and seed of patience. Now, we are now able to reap the harvest of that good seeds and there will be more ahead. To all our Provincial Hospitals, I know you will take care of these, kay nakatilaw namo nga wala moy magamit sa inyong pagpanginahanglan,” the Governor hospital administrators.

DBP Senior Assistant Vice President Ms. Shirley Mae Sarate has said the bank management is committed to help the clean, honest and transparent administration of Governor Emano.

“We’re all-out in our support to ensure that the programs of Governor Bambi become a reality. Because, this translates many opportunities like job generation and access people to conquer today’s pandemic. We’re grateful to PGMO (Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental) for their trust and we’re happy to support Gov. Bambi’s dedicated service,” Sarate said in her speech at the occasion.
