The League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Misamis Oriental Chapter, convened its 1st Quarter Meeting at Hotel Monicon in El Salvador City. The meeting served as a platform for municipal leaders to discuss pressing issues and strategize on key initiatives for the province’s development.
One of the primary topics of discussion was the issues surrounding the operations of the small-town lottery (STL) in the province. Municipal leaders deliberated on various concerns related to STL operations, including regulation, compliance, and community impact.
Another significant agenda item was the presentation of the output from the Single-Digit Poverty Incidence (SDPI) 2028 Strategy Formulation Workshop, which was previously held in Cebu. Mayors and Board Members were briefed on the strategies formulated during the workshop aimed at addressing poverty and improving socio-economic conditions in the province.
